Sharing our Bounty

sob-picture-for-2019

On Saturday, November 16, we will give thanks by sharing and celebrating the life-changing achievements your generosity has made possible at the Sharing Our Bounty Gala. Our gala attracts charitable, cause-committed and kind hearted individuals who all share in the belief of giving back to the community.

Last year Sharing Our Bounty was attended by more than 400 people, and generated vital support for Lazarus House programs which create hope and measurable successes.  Governor Charlie Baker and Mayor Daniel Rivera, of Lawrence, attended and requested to speak at our gala. It was truly a remarkable evening including hearing from one of our guests who told her inspiring story of how she overcame homelessness and is now working and living independently.  Her story epitomized how truly impactful your support and generosity can change the lives of our guests.

The evening features exciting and exclusive live and silent auction items, a cocktail reception followed by a first-class dining experience. Your attendance will make an impact on the lives of people served by Lazarus House. Sharing Our Bounty is Merrimack Valley’s most highly regarded and anticipated event of the season; a not to be missed opportunity to promote your organization or business.

Third Party Fundraisers

lazarus-boston-marathon

Lazarus House Ministries is very fortunate to receive requests from caring organizations and individuals who wish to hold a third-party event or for the use of cause-related marketing for their business.

Third-party Events are activities that are designed and run by non-staff to raise money on behalf of Lazarus House. They are typically conducted locally by individuals with minimal support from our organization. The types of activities that these local supporters conduct are quite literally endless, but some of the more commonly held events are bake sales, auctions, yard sales, restaurant events and dinner parties. Other activities also involve athletes who want to tie their training and athletic accomplishments to a fundraising goal. Third-party Fundraising events are perfect for religious groups, school or chamber groups, family, friends, organizations and corporations.

Thank you for considering hosting a Lazarus House third-party event to promote awareness and raise funds to assist people living in poverty in the Merrimack Valley.

Celebrating Bridget

bridgetsheehan

As a small part of God’s desire to comfort and bless his treasured people, Bridget Shaheen has devoted her 36 year ministry at Lazarus House to living out the Gospel Message.

Her uplifting spirit, inclusive energy, prayerful decision making and contagious commitment to showing compassion and kindness has set Lazarus House Ministries apart. What a gift she has given us.

Bridget never lost sight of God’s calling through this Ministry. Her obedience in tirelessly focusing on preserving dignity for the materially poor and underprivileged has left us with a beautiful example to follow. She has truly left us with a legacy of love to continue, emulate and repeat. May we hold dearly to her living example of Christ’s love as we stay the course of serving our guests in the days, years and decades to come.
