Engaging as a volunteer with Lazarus House will be a powerful action step in your life.

Countless volunteers have experienced joy beyond measure in coming alongside their brothers and sisters in humble service. Volunteers quickly become part of the Lazarus House family, as they realize the integral role they play in delivering a clear message of hope and love to each of our Guests, through their acts of service.

Organize a Drive

Rally your resources and provide others an easy way to give, by organizing a drive for the Guests served by Lazarus House. Follow our simple instructions to collect food, clothing or personal care products to offset the great need in our community.

Food Drive

Help alleviate and raise awareness of food insecurity by organizing a Food Drive in your community to replenish our shelves after distribution to over 1,000 families each Wednesday.

Clothing Drive

A simple activity that delivers highly impactful results is the collection of gently used clothing to support our Thrift Stores. Through family, community, school, faith or business connections, you become a conduit for goodness and giving.

Personal Care Products Drive

Essential personal care items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and soap, can be out of reach to individuals and families in poverty. Your collection of these items, on behalf of Lazarus House Guests, can ease stress and anxiety.

Project Bethlehem

Support a Project Bethlehem Family!

Project Bethlehem is Lazarus House Ministries’ annual Christmas-giving program, bringing the light of Christmas to hundreds of Lawrence families facing challenging times.  We rely on the incredible generosity of individuals, families, groups of friends and neighbors, civic and faith organizations, and companies, to make this happen year after year.

Project Bethlehem offers an opportunity to provide personalized Christmas joy for some of the most vulnerable families in our community.  Your support is key to the continued success of Project Bethlehem, ensuring families receive the blessing of being cared for and appreciated.

Your generosity provides each family with a gift card for groceries, a household gift card, toys for the children and gift cards for clothing for the children and adults. These wrapped gifts are delivered to Lazarus House for distribution to each grateful family.
