What are Community Resources at Lazarus House?
At Lazarus House, Community Resources is a partnership of trust and support between our Guests and our Community Resource Specialist. It is coming alongside our Guests with patience and understanding as they navigate figuring out how to get their needs met. It is support and service without judgment.
There are four cornerstones of this Ministry that provide a continuum of care to our non-resident Guests.

Shelter & Transitional Housing Program
Our thrift store is a hub of activity, a place of community where volunteers and staff serve our Guests thoughtfully, carefully, respectfully and safely. This store strengthens the neighborhood by selling affordable items, offering jobs and volunteer opportunities to local residents and funding life-changing programs within Lazarus House Ministries. In some cases, (ie: victims of fire or flood or disaster) we provide no-charge vouchers based on the individual’s ability to pay.
Items in our store are pleasantly merchandised and priced extremely low to allow our Guests struggling with poverty or homelessness to have the luxury of choice, in a pleasing environment, while obtaining necessary clothing or household items.

If you prefer to have your donation picked up
We have recently partnered with ReSupply, a veteran-run organization. ReSupply will pick any donation for a fee and deliver it to our store (there are no restrictions on what you can donate when using ReSupply). This new partnership will help us redirect the thousands of dollars that have traditionally been spent on staff, trucks, maintenance, gas, sorting donations and disposal to programs that impact the lives of our Guests.
