Brett Gammon is committed to raising $10,000 as part of the Lazarus House Boston Marathon team.
While Gammon supports all Lazarus House missions, including emergency shelter, food, clothing and education, the one that most inspires him is the Dignity Program.
“This program lifts families out of poverty by empowering its members to become self-sufficient citizens right in their own community through workforce preparation and education,” said Gammon. “As a passionate supporter of equal access to education, I am compelled to support this team through the Boston Marathon.”
Gammon, who used Facebook to reach out for fundraising earlier this year, said “as a passionate supporter of equal access to education, I am compelled to support this team through the Boston Marathon.”
His overarching goal is to help provide Lazarus House with the funds necessary to continue to flourish for our next 35 years.
